Privacy Policy

This policy explains what SnappyStrip collects, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 29, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

This policy covers the SnappyStrip website, photo booth, editing tools, accounts, saved collections, download and QR links, and email delivery.

The SnappyStrip team operates the service. For privacy questions or requests, email snappystrip08@gmail.com.

2. Information we handle

Most information comes from you, your browser or device, and the sign-in or email providers used for a feature you choose.

  • Photos and videos. Camera photos, uploaded images, finished photo strips, and optional videos.
  • Designs and settings. Uploaded designs, colors, filters, frames, layouts, strip names, and encrypted saved-strip settings.
  • Account data. If you sign in, our authentication provider handles your email, account ID, session, and login data.
  • Email delivery data. The recipient address, a hashed copy used to prevent abuse, delivery status, provider message ID, and limited error details if delivery fails.
  • Technical and security data. IP-based security signals, hashed session IDs, timestamps, asset IDs, file type and size, and request or error logs.
  • Browser data. Cookies, local and session storage, and temporary object URLs used for workflow state, guest designs, sign-in, security limits, and navigation.

3. How photos and media are processed

Photos are usually processed in your browser while you create a strip. We do not place your uploads in a public gallery.

Email, QR or download links, videos, and account-saved designs may require private server storage. Access uses session checks and signed links that expire.

A recipient you choose may receive a file or link. After delivery, the recipient and their provider control any further storage or sharing.

4. Why we use information

  • Run the camera, upload, editing, saving, download, QR, and email features.
  • Sign users in and connect saved collections to the correct account.
  • Create and deliver requested files and links.
  • Prevent spam, abuse, link misuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Fix problems, keep the service available, and answer requests.

Where required, our legal bases are providing the service you ask for, keeping it secure and reliable, your consent for permissions such as camera access, and complying with law.

We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly important effects on you.

5. Retention and deletion

Our current retention periods are below. Restricted backups or logs may keep limited data longer when needed for security, recovery, or legal compliance.

Kept in browser memory while you work. They are cleared when SnappyStrip resets them, their temporary browser links are revoked, or the session ends.

Expire after 12 hours and are then removed by the cleanup process.

Signed storage URLs expire after about 10 minutes. Download pages remain available for up to 12 hours, subject to the underlying media expiration and download-use limits.

Deleted after 12 hours. The sent email may remain with the recipient and email provider.

Expires after 24 hours.

Stored as hashed identifiers for security windows of up to 24 hours, then cleared through maintenance.

Kept until you delete the strip or make a valid account or privacy deletion request. Deleting a strip also removes a custom design used only by that strip.

Kept while your account is active and as needed to handle account or privacy requests.

6. Service providers and disclosure

We use Supabase for authentication and databases, Cloudflare R2 for private media storage, Vercel for hosting and request security, and an SMTP provider for email. They process data for us under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose data when law requires it, to protect people or the service, to investigate abuse, or during a lawful business transfer.

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Cookies and browser controls

Sign-in cookies keep you connected to your account. An HTTP-only creator cookie links anonymous uploads to the browser that made them. Browser storage also keeps temporary workflow and security state.

You can clear or block this data in your browser, but this may sign you out, remove guest designs, or end unfinished work. You can also remove camera access in your browser or device settings.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

  • Delete saved strips from your collection.
  • Clear browser storage or remove camera permission.
  • Ask for access to or correction of your personal information.
  • Ask us to delete, restrict, or provide a portable copy of your data where the law allows.
  • Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where applicable.
  • Complain to your local data-protection authority.

Send requests to snappystrip08@gmail.com. We may verify your identity or authority first. We will not discriminate against you for using an applicable privacy right.

9. International processing

We and our providers may process data in other countries, where privacy laws may differ. Required legal safeguards apply to international transfers.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, private storage, short-lived signed links, hashed security IDs, encrypted saved-strip settings, access controls, and rate limits. No service is completely secure, so only upload content you want SnappyStrip to process or send to your chosen recipient.

11. Children

SnappyStrip is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Anyone too young to consent where they live may use it only with a parent or guardian's permission and supervision.

Contact us if you think a child shared personal information without proper permission. We will review it and delete it where required.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service, providers, or law changes. The date above shows the latest version. We will give appropriate notice of material changes.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to snappystrip08@gmail.com.
